Lila at night, who is she?
Artisan jewelry designer, Lila blends ancestral French and Japanese techniques in her work.
A graduate of the Haute École de Joaillerie in Paris, she has been exploring the world of jewelry for 8 years.
She began her career in design, moving from creating style guides to designing collections for ready-to-wear brands. She quickly became aware of the ethical and creative limitations of large-scale production. Drawn to materials and fascinated by the craft, she felt the need to learn how to shape metal.
Lila then began working in a workshop and decided to pursue her CAP (vocational training certificate) in jewelry arts and techniques. She honed her skills for several years with a Parisian jewelry designer.
The dream of developing her own creative vision has accompanied her since her first steps in the world of jewelry.
In 2023, she made it a reality by launching Lila la nuit.
"Jewellery has no function other than the emotional and symbolic value we assign to it.
As an object of adornment, distinction, power, and connection, it is a vehicle for the invisible.
Jewellery is intrinsically poetic.
Yet we live in a time that is drying up from a lack of poetry, that denies the invisible and desacralizes symbols.
For me, conscientiously crafting jewellery, with respect for materials and attention to the gesture, is an act of re-enchanting the world."

Treat yourself to ethical and ecological jewelry
Choosing a craftsperson over an industrialized product is a strong statement of responsible consumption.
As a craftswoman, Lila opts for the most ecological solutions at every stage of production.
To do this, she replaces almost all the chemical products traditionally used in jewelry (antioxidants and various cleaning solutions) with homemade natural recipes.
Lila la Nuit jewelry is either sculpted in wax then molded and cast in metal (lost-wax casting technique), or made directly in metal.
The precious metals used are exclusively from recycling (French refining sector - 100% recycled metal for lost-wax casting and 80% for metal purchased in sheets and wires).
The wax used for the Mitsuro Hikime technique is natural, a mixture of beeswax and pine resin.
Finally, the packaging uses paper handmade in France, cotton cords braided in France, French nettle or linen thread, and dried flowers picked in Provence. The pouches are made from recycled old sheets, dyed with natural indigo by Lila, then sewn in Marseille by a craftsman.
